Basketball Recap: Bray-Doyle Takes a Loss

Bray-Doyle played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 66-23 loss at the hands of the Springer Cardinals. The Donkeys have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Sammy Gardner was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 13 en route to 18 points and six boards for Springer. Gardner's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Braden Bostic was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Bray-Doyle's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Springer, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Bray-Doyle has already played their next game (against Thackerville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Springer will challenge Fox at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Springer's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Fox has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
