Nobody could stop Sophia Zepeda on Thursday as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fourth in a row with one or fewer earned runs. For the year, she has an ERA of 2.85 over 110.1 innings pitched.

Zepeda's strong effort led Mundelein over Stevenson and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
