Volleyball Game Preview: Cyprus Pirates vs. Kearns Cougars

The Cyprus Pirates will head out to face off against the Kearns Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Cyprus and nine for Kearns.

On Thursday, Cyprus didn't have quite enough to beat Taylorsville and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Cyprus sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 22-25, 25-11, 23-25, 15-7.

Meanwhile, Kearns came up short against Mountain Crest on Friday and fell 2-0.

Cyprus' defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Kearns, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Cyprus skirted past Kearns 3-2 when the teams last played back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
