Basketball Game Preview: Western International Cowboys vs. East English Village Prep

Western International hasn't had much luck against East English Village Prep recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. It'll be Eastside v. Westside when the Western International Cowboys and East English Village Prep meet at 7:00 p.m. East English Village Prep took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Western International, who comes in off a win.

Western International is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Northwestern to the tune of 58-16 on Thursday. The Cowboys have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, East English Village Prep lost 59-37 to Osborn on Thursday. While losing is never fun, East English Village Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while Osborn is ranked 189th).

Western International's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for East English Village Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.

Western International strolled past East English Village Prep in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 34-17. Will Western International repeat their success, or does East English Village Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
