Cumberland County had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Sydney Wilhite did her part to make it five on Thursday. The Jets came out on top against the Smith County Owls by a score of 62-51 thanks in part to Wilhite, who posted 31 points in addition to six boards and three steals. Wilhite is crushing it when it comes to points: she's scored at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season.

Cumberland County's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Smith County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3.

Cumberland County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-53 victory against Silverdale Academy on the 5th. As for Smith County, they will venture away from home to challenge White County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Owls' defense better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 59.8 points per game this season.
