Volleyball Recap: Crawford Colts vs. San Ysidro Cougars

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Crawford couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the San Ysidro Cougars by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss back in April.

Crawford wouldn't go down easily and took San Ysidro into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 19-25, 19-25, 15-7.

Eh Leh Ber Brown paced Crawford's offense, picking up 23 kills. Brown got some help from Adolfo Ventura and his 32 assists. Randy Thorne and Ky Thong kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with four aces apiece.

Among those leading the charge was Ryan Nance, who had 24 digs and one assist. That's the most digs he has posted since back in April.
