Franklin Central has gone 9-1 against Southport recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Flashes will square off against the Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Franklin Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Mooresville with a sharp 16-10 win. Winning may never get old, but the Flashes sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kiley Renick made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Renick was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, three doubles, and one run. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sarah Miller, who went 5-for-6 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelaide Hubbard, who went 1-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Franklin Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 14-2 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southport). Everything went their way against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter on Saturday as they made off with a 17-3 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won four in a row.
Emma Jordan tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Hayli Phoenix was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Ava Thorpe also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Franklin Central's record now sits at 18-9. As for Southport, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
Everything went Franklin Central's way against Southport when the teams last played on May 10th, as Franklin Central made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Flashes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
