Softball Recap: Chula Vista Learning Community Charter Comes Up Short

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 26-7 to the San Ysidro Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 25-15 back in February.

Ashley Vallejo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Oivia Zarate, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for San Ysidro, their win bumped their record up to 8-4.

Chula Vista Learning Community Charter didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 32-1 victory against Ocean View Christian on the 15th. As for San Ysidro, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 22-10 win against Southwest SD on the 15th.
