Volleyball Recap: West Laurens Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

West Laurens had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Howard Huskies. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

West Laurens easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-7.

Emma Darley paced West Laurens' offense, picking up nine kills. Darley got some help from Skylar Fountain and her 15 assists. Darley also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Allie Moore, racking up three apiece.

West Laurens' victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Howard, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.

Coming up, West Laurens will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Baldwin at 6:00 p.m. Howard has already played their next game (against Luella), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
