Basketball Recap: Kingman Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kingman can now relate to. They were beaten by the Scott Beavers 73-28 on Friday. The Eagles lost against the Beavers in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 65-47 score last time.

Leading Scott to victory were Avery Radke and Jackson Rumford. Radke dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 boards, while Rumford dropped a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Radke a new career-high in steals (eight). Another player making a difference was Eloy Ruelas, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Kingman and nudges their season record down to 6-15. As for Scott, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-4.

Kingman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Scott, they will face off against Norton at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Scott's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests.
