Game recap: Lind-Ritzville/Sprague High School Football Team takes down Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia

OAKESDALE, Wash. - the Broncos had a big 29-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 42-14 victory over Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia (Oakesdale, Wash.).

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown run, a rushing touchdown and a defensive touchdown in the quarter.

LRS was up 35-0 at the half after taking the lead on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter.

The Lind school expanded its lead to 42 points entering the fourth quarter. The Broncos' lone score in the quarter came on a rushing touchdown.

With the win Lind-Ritzville/Sprague extended its winning streak to 10 games. LRS defeated the Panthers 40-7 last week.



The Nighthawks came in allowing just 13.2 points per game this season. The Broncos had given up an average of 10.7 points prior to the contest. Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia's 14 points were well below its season average of 28.7 per game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia, which notched a 36-14 victory over Colfax in its previous outing. The loss snapped TOR's 2-game winning streak.
