12 must be Milan's lucky number: they beat Tri-County with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Wildcats beat the Mustangs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-1. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

The win was the third in a row for Milan, bringing their record up to 7-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Tri-County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Milan will challenge Schuyler County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (the Wildcats have won three straight at home, while the Rams won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Tri-County, they will square off against Polo at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
