Basketball Game Preview: West Chicago Wildcats vs. Larkin Royals

The West Chicago Wildcats will face off against the Larkin Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for West Chicago and eight for Larkin.

On Saturday, West Chicago ended up a good deal behind Addison Trail and lost 43-27. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Wildcats came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 212th, while the Blazers are ranked 431st).

Meanwhile, Larkin was beaten by Barrington 71-39 on Saturday.

West Chicago's record now sits at 17-7. As for Larkin, their record is now 9-12.

West Chicago didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Larkin in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-44 victory. Will West Chicago repeat their success, or does Larkin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
