Softball Recap: Rose Bud Triumphs

The Rose Bud Ramblers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 victory over the Providence Academy Patriots on Saturday. With that win, the Ramblers brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Tagen Harris was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sadie Minton, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Rose Bud kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Rose Bud now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Providence Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Rose Bud wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 16-6 victory against Bradford on the 13th. As for Providence Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Greenland on the 13th.
