Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Finds Playoff Glory Versus Northwood Temple Academy

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Trinity Christian had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They managed a 69-65 victory over the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Trinity Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Baganley Donzo, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Xayden Watson, who went 6-for-15 to rack up 20 points and six boards.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Patrick Barber, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Barber a new career-high in points. Jalen Harris was another key player, going 8-for-11 en route to 16 points and five boards.

Trinity Christian's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.5 points. As for Northwood Temple Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-11.

Trinity Christian has already played their next game, a 65-55 loss against Harrells Christian Academy on the 15th. Northwood Temple Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
