Basketball Game Preview: Miller Grove Wolverines vs. Druid Hills Red Devils

Miller Grove is 1-9 against Druid Hills since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Miller Grove Wolverines will head out on the road to take on the Druid Hills Red Devils at 3:00 p.m. Druid Hills took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Miller Grove, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Miller Grove turned things around against Redan on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 49-34 win over the Raiders.

It was another big night for Kamiya Moore, who went 6 for 15 on her way to 14 points in addition to six assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Arieyona Christion, who posted seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Meanwhile, Druid Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Lithonia 71-16. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 460th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 220th).

Druid Hills' loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Miller Grove, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Miller Grove suffered a grim 46-25 defeat to Druid Hills in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Miller Grove avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
