Baseball Recap: Dowling Catholic Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Johnston, Dowling Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Ottumwa Bulldogs by a score of 11-6. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Maroons' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The victory got Dowling Catholic back to even at 13-13. As for Ottumwa, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 22-14.

Coming up, Dowling Catholic will head out on the road to challenge Indianola on Monday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Maroons' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Ottumwa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
