Basketball Recap: East Iberville Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

East Iberville has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 60-53 to the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

East Iberville's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-10. As for Ascension Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Iberville has already played their next contest (against Donaldsonville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ascension Catholic will head out to take on Ascension Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Ascension Christian: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Ascension Catholic has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
