Basketball Game Preview: Andrews Wildcats vs. Franklin Panthers

Andrews is 0-7 against Franklin since December of 2014 but things could change on Thursday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Andrews Wildcats duke it out with the Franklin Panthers at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Andrews is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Blue Ridge Early College, posting a 70-27 win. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Franklin took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 62-21 victory over North Henderson. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 234th, while the Knights are ranked 476th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Andrews' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Franklin, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
