McCormick extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Daruis Houston. The McCormick Chiefs came out on top against the Calhoun Falls Charter Blue Flashes by a score of 59-51 on Friday thanks in part to Houston, who almost dropped a triple-double on 23 points, nine assists, and nine steals. He is becoming a predictor of McCormick's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is 10-3 (and 3-4 when he doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Emari Crawford, who posted four points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in boards.

McCormick has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points per game. As for Calhoun Falls Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Calhoun Falls Charter will host South Carolina School for the Deaf & Blind at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while McCormick will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
