Volleyball Recap: Cameron Takes a Loss

Cameron lost against Baldwin-Woodville back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Comets took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackhawks. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cameron started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Jillian Emerson and Aaliyah Thompson, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Emerson Krahenbuhl and her eight assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Cameron's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Baldwin-Woodville, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cameron will take on Chetek-Weyerhaeuser at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Baldwin-Woodville, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Spooner on Thursday.
