Regis dropped down to 3-2 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Pacelli Cardinals by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Ramblers have suffered since May 13, 2025.

As for Pacelli, they now have a winning record of 2-1. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Regis: they've now won three in a row.

For Pacelli's part, Eric Reincke was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Reincke was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bryce Flaker, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Chase Napiwocki, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Regis will venture away from home to challenge Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Pacelli, they will face off against Almond-Bancroft at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The game will give the Cardinals their first taste of in-conference action this season.
