LA GRANGE, Texas -
Carthage (Texas) snapped the 13-game winning streak of
La Grange (Texas), with a 51-22 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Dillon Davis touchdown pass to
Rodney Filmore in the first quarter, the Bulldogs were up 22-6 at the half.
Carthage grew its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored three times in the third, including once on a passing touchdown.
With the win the Bulldogs extended their winning streak to 10 games. Carthage defeated West Orange-Stark 28-14 last week.
The Leopards came in surrendering 16.1 points per game this season.
The loss comes after La Grange defeated Gonzales 21-8 last week.
