Basketball Game Preview: Clemens Buffaloes vs. Harlan Hawks

The Clemens Buffaloes will take on the Harlan Hawks on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clemens is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Hanna 85-27. Given the Buffaloes' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 100th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 419th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Harlan came tearing into Thursday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.9 points), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 52-51 W against the Vipers.

Clemens better keep an eye on Kameron Williams. He was instrumental in Harlan's win, putting up 20 points. Elijah Moore was another key player, posting nine points.

Clemens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points over those games. Harlan's win bumped their record up to 24-10.
