Basketball Game Preview: Ballston Spa Scotties vs. Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans

Ballston Spa and Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2016, but not for long. The Ballston Spa Scotties will welcome the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Spartans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Ballston Spa is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Averill Park just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Warriors 61-27. The matchup marked the Scotties' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 52-34 bruising from Columbia. The Spartans were down 49-19 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Ballston Spa, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
