Volleyball Game Preview: Marlborough Panthers vs. Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors

The Marlborough Panthers will head out to challenge the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Marlborough will be strutting in after a victory while Lincoln-Sudbury will be coming in after a defeat.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers on Monday. Everything went Marlborough's way against Ayer Shirley as they made off with a 3-0 win. Marlborough hasn't had any issues with Ayer Shirley recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Marlborough not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Ayer Shirley between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-17, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Lincoln-Sudbury didn't have quite enough to beat North Kingstown on Saturday and fell 1-0. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lincoln-Sudbury's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Marlborough, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Marlborough took their victory against Lincoln-Sudbury in their previous matchup on April 2nd by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
