Volleyball Recap: Pawnee Indians vs. Tri-City Tornadoes

Pawnee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell just short of the Tri-City Tornadoes by a score of 2-1. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tornadoes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Pawnee sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-18.

Tri-City had a senior duo take command as Brooklyn Lee had 29 digs and Payton Vest had 12 digs and three aces. Vest also set a new season high mark in assists with 15.

Pawnee's record now sits at 4-18. As for Tri-City, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-21.

Pawnee has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Lincolnwood on the 21st. As for Tri-City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Riverton on the 21st.
