            The Roosevelt Rough Riders will head out to  face off against the South Gate Rams  at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday.
Roosevelt is headed into Friday's  following a  draw, the team's first since December 4. Neither they nor Garfield could gain the upper hand on Monday so the two teams had to settle for  a  1-1 draw. There's a chance things could've gone differently had the Rough Riders not been charged with a red card from  Alejandro Santana.
Roosevelt's goal came courtesy  of  Christopher Salas, who's now up to 12 this season.
 Meanwhile, South Gate hasn't lost a  match since December 28, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game  on Wednesday. They won by a  goal and slipped past Huntington Park  2-1. Given the Rams' advantage  in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings  (they are ranked 250th, while the Spartans are ranked 807th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 With that  draw, Roosevelt's record moves to 4-9-2. As for South Gate, their win was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 11-5-3.
 Roosevelt came out on top in a nail-biter against South Gate when the teams last played  back in January of 2024, sneaking past  2-1. Will Roosevelt repeat their success,  or does  South Gate have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
