Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Patriots vs. Foothill Falcons

The Heritage Patriots will square off against the Foothill Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season.

Heritage is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering California just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grizzlies. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 227th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 36th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Nate Grube, who posted 16 points. Brady Lockrem was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Meanwhile, Foothill had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They secured a 46-40 W over the FIGHTING KNIGHTS.

Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Foothill, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Heritage didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Foothill in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-46 win. Will Heritage repeat their success, or does Foothill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
