Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Cascade walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Owen Valley Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

Cascade's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Taylor Gibbs, who had seven digs and two aces. Suzy Moore was another key player, getting eight digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Cascade was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.

Owen Valley's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Harleigh White, who had ten digs, and Makynlee Bonds, who had seven digs.

Cascade has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season. As for Owen Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-23.

Cascade didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Northview on the 18th. Owen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
