Football Recap: Struthers Comes Up Short

Struthers blew East out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday East got their revenge. The Wildcats fell just short of East by a score of 14-12. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wildcats have suffered since November 8, 2024.

East found their leader in freshman Antwan Williams, who rushed for 93 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries. Williams also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making one tackle (1.0 for loss).

Struthers dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for East, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Struthers will square off against McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
