Basketball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 33rd straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 33-20 to the Fairfield Central Griffins. The Capitals lost against the Griffins in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 66-16 score last time.

Columbia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Fairfield Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Columbia will host Eau Claire at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fairfield Central, they will be playing at home against Mid-Carolina at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
