Soccer Recap: Peninsula Comes Up Short

Peninsula fought the good fight in their overtime contest against North on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the North Saxons by a score of 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Saxons are ranked 19th).

Peninsula's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-9-2. As for North, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peninsula has already played their next matchup (against Torrance), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against West.
