Baseball Recap: Hobgood Charter Beats North East Carolina Prep for Their Third Straight Win

Hobgood Charter proved they can win big last Friday (they won by eight) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the North East Carolina Prep Husky 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since April 16, 2024.

LUKE LANIER spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, Hobgood Charter saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was MASON MILLS, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
