Basketball Recap: Ramapo Comes Up Short

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Ramapo couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the West Essex Knights by a score of 52-50 on Saturday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Raiders came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Knights are ranked 91st).

Ramapo moved to 15-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25 points. As for West Essex, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.
