Softball Recap: Temple Academy Comes Up Short

Temple Academy fell victim to Buckfield and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Bucks, falling 14-0. The loss continues a trend for the Bereans in their meetings with the Bucks: they've now lost six in a row.

Temple Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isabelle Tompkins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. That hit was Tompkins' first of the season.

Temple Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Buckfield, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Temple Academy will challenge Telstar at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bereans are facing the Rebels at the right time seeing as the Rebels are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Buckfield, they will face off against Richmond at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bucks surely won't give up without a fight.
