Football Game Preview: West Davidson Dragons vs. Trinity Bulldogs + How To Watch

The West Davidson Dragons will face off against the Trinity Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on West Davidson, who comes in off a win.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when West Davidson and Wheatmore meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Dragons walked away with a 14-7 victory over the Warriors. That's two games straight that the Dragons have won by exactly seven points.

Carson Correll was his usual excellent self, rushing for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. He is becoming a predictor of West Davidson's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

Correll was just one part of a punishing run game: West Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 229 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 190 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Trinity's offense. They were outmatched by Thomasville and fell 44-0. Trinity just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.

Trinity's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for West Davidson, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

West Davidson won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, slipping by Trinity 20-19. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Bulldogs' Daniel 'Buck' Rogers, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of scores.
