Football Game Preview: Trion Bulldogs vs. Bowdon Red Devils + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Linc Allen and Joshua Hopkins are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Trion Bulldogs will host the Bowdon Red Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Trion needed a bit of extra time to put away Greenville. They managed a 26-20 victory over the Patriots. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Bulldogs were the better team in the second half.

Trion found their leader in sophomore Landon Kimbell, who rushed for 155 yards and one score while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Kimbell's longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.

Trion was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bowdon). They blew past Greenville 68-14 on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Red Devils, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Trion better keep an eye on Connor Daniel. He was instrumental in Bowdon's win, rushing for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also picking up 55 receiving yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Joshua Chandler, who rushed for 81 yards and one score.

Bowdon's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Trion, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Trion suffered a grim 42-16 defeat to Bowdon when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Charles Maxell iii (who rushed for 113 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 230 yards and three TDs while completing 75% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
