Baseball Recap: Ingraham Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

While Ingraham put up some runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Lakeside. The Rams walked away with a 3-0 win over the Lions. The Rams were shut out 10-0 the last time they took on the Lions, so the Rams were just returning the favor.

Ingraham got a great performance from Takeshi Malady as he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. What's more, Malady posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since April 4th.

At the plate, Edgar Pravitz was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Harry Hayes, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Ingraham is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Lakeside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Coming up, Ingraham will be playing in front of their home fans against Silas at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Ingraham 2.4, Silas 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Lakeside, they will venture away from home to take on Olympic at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
