Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Sumiton Christian walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Berry Wildcats with a sharp 90-70 victory on Monday. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Berry had strong showings from Ashton Waltrip, who posted 13 points and seven boards, and Max Westbrook, who earned 12 points and three steals. Westbrook has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Smith, who put up ten points.

Sumiton Christian pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.1 points per game. As for Berry, their loss dropped their record down to 10-12.

Sumiton Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 68-67 defeat against Hubbertville on the 4th. Berry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
