Soccer Recap: Northeast Comes Up Short

Northeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 6-0 to the Clarksville Wildcats. While losing is never fun, Northeast can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Clarksville are ranked 52nd).

Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 3-8-3. As for Clarksville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clarksville, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Kirkwood on the 8th.
