Basketball Recap: Riley Marty and Liam Daniels Secure Win for Liberty

There's no place like home for Liberty, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 60-38 margin over the Sherman Tide on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Tide back in December of 2024, they had to take a 38-34 loss.

Liberty was led to victory by Liam Daniels and Riley Marty. Daniels went 9 of 16 on his way to 24 points and five rebounds, while Marty dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, Daniels is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. Jake Henderson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Sherman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Liberty has already played their next game, a 61-37 defeat against James Monroe on the 4th. Sherman has also already played their next contest (against Meadow Bridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
