Basketball Recap: Gloria Deo Academy Takes a Loss

Gloria Deo Academy lost against Bracken Christian back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Gloria Deo Academy Lions took a blow against the Bracken Christian Warriors, falling 70-33. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1138th, while the Warriors are ranked 392nd).

Gloria Deo Academy is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5. As for Bracken Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gloria Deo Academy will take on John Paul II in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. John Paul II is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.7 points per game this season. Bracken Christian and Comfort will compete for holiday cheer at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
