Landon Kalsbeck Goes Supernova in Dakota Ridge Win

Dakota Ridge picked up their tenth consecutive win on Saturday thanks in part to Landon Kalsbeck. Kalsbeck did his part (and then some), rushing for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries for the 'W'. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 119 rushing yards.

Kalsbeck might have his next game, a road matchup with Ponderosa, circled on his calendar. When Kalsbeck last faced the Mustangs back in October, he rushed for 135 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.

Big Game from Veazy As Ponderosa Won 42-14

De'Alcapon Veazy was instrumental in extending Ponderosa's winning streak to five on Saturday. Veazy was dynamite, rushing for 169 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.

Ponderosa has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. Veazy and Ponderosa will venture away from home to challenge Dakota Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Troy Mcwhorter Delivers Best Effort of Season

Troy McWhorter produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Ponderosa to the win on Saturday. McWhorter rushed for 72 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making four total tackles.

This year, McWhorter has caught 3 touchdowns while averaging 9.5 receiving yards per game.

Balika Came Up Big in Heritage's 42-20 Win

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Saturday Jett Balika stepped things up a notch to give Heritage the 'W'. Balika was unstoppable, rushing for 110 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 106 receiving yards and a touchdown. He was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 52 yards.

Heritage has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. Their road trip will continue as they head out to face Pueblo West at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Sam Callas Turns in Season-Best Performance

On Saturday, Dakota Ridge got the W thanks in part to Sam Callas playing the best football he has all season. Callas rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries.
