It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Allegheny can now relate to. They fell just short of the Hempfield Area Spartans by a score of 3-1 on Monday. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

North Allegheny saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Simons, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

North Allegheny's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Hempfield Area, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season.
