The Ridgewood Generals will head out on the road to face off against the Meadowbrook Colts at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Monday, Ridgewood needed a bit of extra time to put away West Muskingum. They had just enough and edged out the Tornadoes 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Generals have posted since April 2nd.

Jayden Jaras was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brittleigh Bates, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Meadowbrook came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Redskins as they made off with a 17-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Colts, who have now won 12 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Like Ridgewood, Meadowbrook also got a great game from a two-way player: Addy Sichina. She pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Sichina was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Meadowbrook let Addie Schultice and Sommer Ginn run wild. Schultice went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Ginn went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn Vargeson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
Meadowbrook hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive games.
Ridgewood's record is now 18-5. As for Meadowbrook, their record now sits at 19-6.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Ridgewood hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Meadowbrook struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.8 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
