Softball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Eagles vs. Shekinah Christian Flames
Liberty Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 22-11 to the Shekinah Christian Flames. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Liberty Christian Academy of the 26-3 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.
Jersey Snyder was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, a triple, and a double. Audrey Soliday was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-4.
Even though they lost, Liberty Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
On Shekinah Christian's side, they got a massive performance out of Brook Purdy, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Alice Giddens, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI.
Liberty Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Shekinah Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Tree of Life Christian the next time they take the field. Liberty Christian Academy will head out to face Tree of Life Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Shekinah Christian will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
