Basketball Recap: Davion Moore's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Valley View over Arlington

Valley View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 60-36 to the Arlington Lions. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-14.

Valley View's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davion Moore, who posted seven points and seven rebounds. Cassius Wrisley also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Valley View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Arlington, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-11.

Valley View will face off against Rancho Verde at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Arlington has already played their next contest (against Palm Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
