Basketball Recap: Jeremiah White's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Baker County over Sherwood Christian Academy

Baker County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sherwood Christian Academy Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 44-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Baker County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jeremiah White, who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Terrance Holt Jr, who earned 12 points.

Baker County's loss dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Sherwood Christian Academy, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Baker County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Stewart County at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. Sherwood Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 44-43 loss against Southland Academy on the 10th.
