There's no place like home for Wekiva, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They really took it to the Horizon Hawks for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-35 victory. The Mustangs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wekiva to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jasmine Pooler, who went 6-for-11 en route to 14 points and four steals. What's more, Pooler also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jakayla Johnson, who shot 60% from the field on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Wekiva's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points on average this season. As for Horizon, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Wekiva will take on Dr. Phillips in a tournament on Thursday. As for Horizon, they will face off against Olympia on Thursday. This will be the Hawks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
